University Malaysia of Computer Science & Engineering (UniMy) announced new scholarships and bursaries for talented and science and maths-inclined SPM and STPM, Matriculation and Diploma equivalent holders keen on pursuing Foundation and Degree courses in Computer Science and Software Engineering.
Established in collaboration with the Malaysian government, UniMy, Malaysia’s first ICT-focused boutique university is a response to the Education Ministry’s mandate to build a knowledge-based economy. As part of the ‘new knowledge hub’ aiming to transform the higher education landscape, UniMy is committed to bridging the supply and demand gap in critical ICT areas to provide the nation with a highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce.
“Our new merit scholarships and bursaries serve as a platform for deserving youngsters to pursue a tertiary education in ICT and subsequently map a rewarding career path in the relevant industry. Therefore, we are inviting qualified students to grab this golden opportunity and be a part of our student body in our vibrant campus in Cyberjaya,” said Associate Professor Dr. Mohamad Kasim Abdul Jalil, Acting Vice Chancellor of UniMy.
Aptly named the Yayasan University Malaysia Scholarship, the reductions are as follows:
For Foundation & Diploma programmesMinimum Academic Requirement (SPM or equivalent)
Foundation Applicant: Applicants shall be entitled an additional RM1,000 rebate for each A (A+/A/A-) in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, English and Information Technology obtained in SPM (or equivalent), except for the recipient of FULL Yayasan Universiti Malaysia scholarship.
For Bachelor's Degree Programmes
Minimum Academic Requirement (Foundation/STPM or equivalent)
