“Education is our area of expertise and it makes perfect sense for us to lend SPM students a helping hand,” declares Willie Tan Moh Leng, Vice-President (Student Enrolment) at UCSI University.
“This annual event is designed specifically to give students the necessary know how on how best to tackle the SPM examinations.”
Tan is referring to the free SPM Revision workshop that is held annually at UCSI University and will take place at the institution’s Kuala Lumpur South Wing Campus on 1st and 2nd October 2016. Students who register for this SPM Revision Workshop will be tutored by a host of “Guru Cermerlang” who have vast experience teaching as well as marking SPM examination papers. Authors of text and revision books will also be on hand to advice students.
Subjects covered are Accounting, Additional Mathematics, Chemistry, English, Mathematics, Physics and Science.
“This is a community project by UCSI University and students who register for this will benefit greatly from the teachers’ insider knowledge. Instead of just rote learning, these teachers will show students how best to apply their knowledge and which areas are likely to crop up in the examinations,” says Tan.
He urges all SPM students who can travel to UCSI University’s South Wing campus (Jalan Menara Gading, Taman Connaught, Cheras) on the relevant dates to make the trip, believing that it will make a big difference to the students’ actual performances in the examinations.
“Students will be cocooned in a quiet and conducive environment and will benefit greatly from the teachers’ insights. Not only that, they will also get a sample of university campus life which is the next logical step in their academic journey,” counsels Tan.
Places are limited and interested students can register for this FREE event HERE.
