Is there a future Doctor on this page?
Are you someone who is passionate about saving lives but not sure exactly which field to specialise? Well, put on your lab coat and consider studying at MAHSA University (Malaysian Allied Health Sciences Academy).
MAHSA University was founded in 2004 by Professor Tan Sri Dr. Hj. Mohamed Haniffa, the Pro-Chancellor and Executive Chairman of MAHSA Group and a clinical practitioner of Medicine. They offer a diverse set of Health Science programmes in Medicine, Biosciences, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Health Sciences, Hospitality Management and Nursing, besides non-medical programmes in Business, Finance, Information Technology, and Engineering. These wide selections of the curriculum are offered in the levels of pre-university, undergraduate and post-graduate.
MAHSA University prides itself on its inclusivity and diversity by offering a year-round, bi-monthly intake for prospective students to apply. They are also proud of being one of the most affordable healthcare universities in Malaysia. In Malaysia, the average cost of a medical or healthcare undergraduate course is RM200,000! At MAHSA University, as an example, a Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences (Hons) costs in total RM106,150.
On top of that, the institution also offers numerous scholarships for prospective students, Malaysian school teachers and their children and spouses, Malaysian children of single parents and MAHSA students/alumni’s children, siblings and parents. They also accept other outside scholarships as a method of tuition payment. Click on the following links to explore more: https://mahsa.edu.my/scholarship.php
Their inclusivity further extends through their borderless, distance-learning programmes (for a reduced fee) and their study exchange programmes with their partnered universities all across Asia, Africa and the United Kingdom. So it is no wonder that today MAHSA University has students from 75 different countries from Asia, Australia, Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States of America and Canada.
