The first step to consider is studying at Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), one of the first private universities in Malaysia, located in Selangor. It is wholly owned by the public-listed Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), established in 1976.
Their vision is to become a leading university in global energy. Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) currently offers 50 programmes in the following fields: Engineering, IT and Business. These programmes are presented in the form of Pre-University, Bachelor’s and Postgraduate.
You will be pleased to know these programmes contain a cultivating, dynamic curriculum, consisting of project work, research, open-ended experiments and practical training. Their syllabus is designed with input from the industrial and commercial sectors as well as from local and foreign universities. They currently have three windows of intakes; January, June and September; so have an idea exactly when you want to begin your education.
It should also be noted that the tuition fees can vary depending on the program and whether or not you are an international student. It can also be pricey as a premium education. For example, a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) degree for local students costs RM18,750 a year and RM 19,500 for International students, while a Foundation in Engineering costs RM17,000 a year for local students and RM 20,000 for International students.
