Unikop College's new CEO Ishahuddin Abdullah has a brand new vision for his institution which is to make the college as the go to destination for students to pursue higher education.
According to Islahuddin, he aims the total number of Unikop students to double to 1,800 students by the end of 2016.
There are 200 students in Diploma in Policing which is the main course focused by Unikop College. The number of students for this course is hoped to increase up to 1,000 students.
Previously Islahuddin was the distribution manager for Proton in Indonesia and Travelport - a Tourism Software Company. With his strong corporate background, Unikop College have the ability to succeed even further with Islahuddin's leadership.
Islahuddin who was appointed CEO last December stated that he wants to add four new programmes (accountancy, business management, marketing and multimedia) by the end of this year.
Unikop College was funded by Koperasi Polis Sdn Bhd, a cooperative company to the 100,000 police officers who are its members.
Established in 1998, this college works hand in hand with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). It has 7,000 graduates and 900 students. 8 courses are inter-related with UiTM while one course is specifically run by Unikop itself, which is Diploma in Policing.
According to Islahuddin, Unikop College wishes to strengthen its joint venture with UiTM by establishing degree programmes in Marketing field by the end of this year.
In the effort to prepare the college for new student intakes, he also shared that Unikop College recently launced a new system named Unikop College Management System (UCMS). This UCMS system helps students to ease up all processes including application for accommodation, examination, timetable, marking and etc.
