Looking for a scholarship is not easy, while successfully receiving one is even more difficult. So what can you do if you don’t get any sponsorships? There’re always student loans you can apply for….and then there are plenty of international scholarships and local scholarships you are eligible to apply for that you probably aren’t aware of. Bookmark this page because we will constantly update the Private university scholarships for Malaysian students from time to time that will come in handy for those who are studying at private institutions. Do note that these are internal scholarships. This means that you’ll have to gain admission into the university or obtain an offer letter first in order to apply for it.

1) UNITEN Bright/Merit-YCU Scholarship
Study Level(s): Foundation
Programmes: Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics & Management, Accounting, Business Administration
Amount: Up to 100% scholarship
Criteria: Received an offer or proof of acceptance letter from UNITEN for July or September intake

2) UTS Bursary Scheme Undergraduate & Postgraduate Scholarship (For Sarawak Citizens only)
Study Level(s): Degree, Master, PhD
Programmes: Engineering and Technology, Business and Management, Computing and Creative Media, Built Environment
Amount: Covers 50% of the tuition fees
Criteria: Must be a Sarawak citizen who has received an offer or proof of acceptance letter from the UTS

8) UNITAR I-Future Scholarship

Criteria: Students need to achieve a minimum of 6 A's for SPM, or a CGPA of 3.5

12) IUKL Scholarship
IUKL scholarships are made available to students who do well in their academic pursuits at the elementary levels, including SPM, STPM, O-Level, A-Level, UEC, Foundation Studies and Diploma.
