The Government has recently released Budget 2018 and the goodies inside. Students will be thrilled to find out the couple of perks in the education sector. We know you want to know the ‘real deal’ (education) so we’ll just get straight to the point...and may we say that some of them are pretty exciting!

1) The Public Service Department (JPA) under the Higher Education Ministry will be giving away RM2.2 billion worth of scholarships.

2) Public universities will be receiving RM400 million worth of research bursary. Universiti Malaya will be receiving special allocations to propel it to be the top 100 global universities.
3) RM61.6 billion will be distributed accordingly to help students’ education development, training, skills and talents.

MyBrain Programme
The ‘MyBrain Programme’ is back once again, giving an opportunity to both graduates and working adults to pursue their postgraduate (Masters & PhD) in public universities for free! RM90 million is allocated to 10,600 deserving candidates to further their studies. Candidates can apply directly to the university.
