Advance Tertiary College (ATC), one of the oldest and most prestigious private Law School in the region, will have its convocation ceremony on the 9th of January 2020 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre for all its students. ATC has students across 3 campuses in two countries namely Malaysia and Hong Kong. This year marks the 30th time the ceremony has been held.
Students from the undergraduate University of London Bachelor of Laws and the Postgraduate Certificate in Legal Practice will be graduating from the School of Law. Students from the School of Business & Management will be graduating with the Bachelor in Business Administration from IUKL, Diploma in Management, Diploma in Marketing, Diploma in Business Adminisration and Certificate in Business Studies.
Presenting the scrolls to the law graduands this year will be the Pro Vice Chancellor (International), University of London Dr. Mary Stiasny and to the business graduands will be President and Vice Chancellor of Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) Prof. Idris b. Zakaria.. In attendance as well will be the Dean of the Undergraduate Laws programme, University of London, Mr. Simon Askey, various members of the Malaysian judiciary and legal fraternity will also be present.
The graduating class this year has outdone themselves especially on the University of London Bachelor of Laws programme. 2 students graduated with 1st Class (Hons) and 64 ATC students graduated with a 2nd Class Upper (Hons) degree across ATC’s 3 campuses. ATC’s Sarah loo Wei Hsien was the winner of the University of London scholarship to Queen Mary University, London, a scholarship for Malaysian students in the First Year of the University of London LLB.
“The outstanding performance by our students this year is a testament to the hardworking faculty that we have who are dedicated to ensuring our students achieve their highest potential,” said Mr. Kevin Leong, Group CEO of ATC.
The ceremony will by followed by a gala dinner at the KL Convention Center ballroom for the graduates and their families.
