The Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), renowned for its 100% employability rate among graduates, has once again showcased its strength by being listed as the 2024 Employers' Choice of University among local public and private universities.
Datuk Parmjit Singh (centre), the Co-Founder and CEO of APU, is on stage receiving the 2024 Employers' Choice of University award, flanked by Talentbank’s CEO, Mr Ben Ho (left) and presenting employer representatives.
In an official announcement on May 6, 2024, Talentbank, a key player in Malaysia's talent ecosystem, revealed that APU graduates are Champions of Employers' Top Choice in the fields of Computing & IT, Game Design and Development, Animation, and Finance & Islamic Finance. Additionally, graduates of Actuarial Science, Mechatronic Engineering, Multimedia and Communication & Broadcasting are also employers’ preferred options with 6-Star Ratings.
At a recognition ceremony held during Talentbank's Raya Open House, APU's Co-Founder and CEO, Datuk Parmjit Singh, received the prestigious award on stage, accompanied by Talentbank’s CEO, Mr Ben Ho and presenting employer representatives.

According to Mr Ben Ho, the "2024 Employers' Choice of University" list serves as an invaluable guide for prospective university students, providing insights into which institutions are preferred by employers and helping students make informed decisions to enhance their job prospects after graduation.
Talentbank prides itself on being at the forefront of enhancing graduate employability and bridging the gap between academia and industry.
The employer preferences were drawn from the Talentbank National Graduate Employability Index, also known as “Talentbank’s GE Index,” which compiles insights from over 700 leading employers across various industries to evaluate the employability of graduates in Malaysia.
The GE Index assists students and their parents in selecting suitable fields of study and prestigious universities, offering a clearer understanding of which institutions are favoured by industry leaders.
“This initiative plays a critical role in our vision, highlighting universities that propel students forward in the international job market. More than just an academic journey, it seeks to carve out paths toward rewarding careers, with the ultimate aim of elevating Malaysia's graduate employability, career-readiness, and competitiveness on a global scale," remarked Mr Ben Ho.
Talentbank’s GE Index employs a unique tripartite methodology, encompassing three key aspects: identifying the universities that employers typically recruit from, quantifying the number of graduates hired from each university, and evaluating the frequency of recurring hires based on positive performance.
APU once again showcased its strength by being listed as the 2024 Employers' Choice of University among local public and private universities, further solidifying APU’s reputation for producing highly employable graduates.
Commenting on the latest recognition, which further solidifies APU’s reputation for producing highly employable graduates, Datuk Parmjit said, “APU graduates have been strongly sought after by employers, evident by the number of recruiters during our yearly mega career fair held on campus. This outcome is largely thanks to our skilled academics who constantly facilitate seamless knowledge transfer to the student community by tapping into new developments in response to global demand.”
Recognised as a Premier Digital Tech Institution (PDTI) by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), APU collaborates with key industry players to develop curricula that meet industry expectations and address the current needs of technology graduates. APU’s consistent graduate employability record reflects its dedication to nurturing professionals for global careers. With over 80,000 alumni thriving in successful careers worldwide, APU stands as a testament to excellence in education and industry readiness.
